More than $3.5 Million in Total Incentives for Over 50 Customer Accounts

For 2010, Peak Energy Agriculture Rewards (PEAR) paid out more than $3.5 million in cash incentives and equipment to participants in the PEAR program with $5 million estimated in 2011. These PG&E Ag customers earned these incentives simply by shutting down irrigation pumps, motors and compressors for 1-4 hours during the Peak Demand Events declared by utilities during the 2010 growing season.
